Hey guys I've been lurking these forums for awhile and recently my phone broke so im in the market for a new one and some things im looking for are clear reception, decent camera, good look, and rugged. I really want to get either a slider or candy bar phone. I've been trying to do some research but you guys have been doing this way longer then me, can you help me?

But you probally dont want a smartphone. I got mine on the cingular web site. That way I wasnent forced to get there PDA data plan. Its a great phone love the earpeice vols and reception. Plus mine was a refurb for $120.00, it was perfect.
 
hahaha as tempting as you make it sound, no unfortunately im not in the market for a smartphone, but nice try, a for effort

btw, hey fluid how do you like your w810i? I've heard rave reviews on here about the features but not really an in depth perspective, I've been looking at that and the w600i
 
if you're looking at the W600...

consider shelling out a few more bucks for the W810...
far superior phone for a bit more...

the option for expandable memory already makes the w810 a plus..

the "rubber-like" texture for the original W600 face/battery plates will chip off if the phone takes physical abuse...
color transfer (from dirt or jeans) can also occur making the orange (on the original plate) become darker...

btw: your options are far wider if your budget is $300
 
Just throwing it out there, but you could take a look at the Nokia 5300. I've never owned one, but it's a slider and doesn't look at frail as the Samsung sliders (it's not a bad thing on Samsungs part, they just look more fragile).
