I had been taking levosulpiride 50 mg twice a day for chronic pelvic pain (chronic non bacterial prostatitis) since March 2009 and it helped a lot. In June 2009 I had an inflamed thyorid that was termed as sub acute thyroiditis. Now it has been 3 months and the doc feels that levosulpiride can create a problem. However, the drug is sold in Italy, Korea and India and not much information is available. Am wondering how best to find out information about any studies for chronic long term use. Internet / google/bing gives out a few studies but nothing about long term use. I got the address of one manufacturer in India but they don't give much information. Isn't there a well defined way / clinical trials before a drug is sold. If so, where would these information be.
