Long shot, but can anyone help.......

Somewhere between 10 and 15 years ago I watched a film about a geeky teenager who was hacking into remote computer systems and causing havoc.
He was getting into systems controlling the electricity networks, telephone systems etc.

Can anyone recall such a film and what it was called? I know it's a long shot given the amount of info i've supplied but it's worth a go!

As three people have said Wargames it may well be that. I'll look that film up on Amazon to confirm it.

Have checked and it sort of fits.
Wargames in centred around The Pentagon. The one I saw involved (among other things) the computer controlling the electricity network being hacked too. The guy was switching off vast areas to create havoc. Maybe i'm combining two films by mistake!

The kid dosent do any of that in war games, worse he does in that is change his grade oh yeah and start a fake nuclear war.

Maybe Hackers (1995), staring johny Lee Miller and Angelina Jollie, that fits the time frame War Games was early 80's
