Long Ride Windshields

Mr. Cujo and EddyG, As the late great Rodney King said after inciting the LA Riots "Can't we all just get along?"

I go through one windshield a year so if I can find a deal on one that works and costs less, I say thanks to whomever passes out this info.

Now let's go get a beer.

i'm thinking that this was useful information on an available product. i come here to the forums for information on products that will make my harley more comfortable, cooler looking, faster, louder, etc, just like everyone else, and it was good to find another available option for a windshield. thanks for the information.

I want to share my experience with Longride....I purchased a 6 1/2 " dark grey from them thru ebay. They shiped me a medium grey...not the dark. I let them know they shipped the wrong one. They said "no problem! Keep that one for now, and we'll ship out the dark one at no charge." 3 days later, I have the dark shield, and they didn't want the other one back! So I got 2 shields for 55 bucks!! Great customer service, and a good shield for the money!

Just wanted to say thanks to Eddy G for posting this info.

After reading his post and the comments from SLC Glide I decided to go ahead and purchase one of the 6" shields from Ebay (paid less then what was listed).

Great communication and customer service from Matt at longrideshields.

Ordered the shield on the 29th and the Big Brown truck just dropped it off.

The shield looks great. I can't tell the difference in the material used from this shield and the OEM one.

Getting ready to take it out for a test ride in a little bit.

Thanks again Eddy G.

These are great shields ( long ride) and a good price. They seem very interested in customer service and actually dropped a couple off to me to evalutate. I'm 5'8" and use a 6" with the Danny Grey Big Seat solo and 8" with the stock seat. I can still see over the 8" and solo seat so if I were to have only one I'd buy the 8" but like the looks of the 6" for day rides.

Edit: I had the Fastaire 8" and I was looking right at the top of the windshield w solo seat so I sold that to a buddy. They are great shields and great price but with the curve on the long ride I like the way it shoots the air up and over my helmet. I also have a halfmoon 7 1/2 iinch that I like in the winter but wanted something a little shorter for the summer day rides.

I purchased a Long Ride shield long before this thread started. I checked into the ClearViews also but between the long wait and price I never pulled the trigger. Along came the Long Ride shields and I snapped up a dark 6" and a gray 8" for cheap. Had them in 4 days! I'm 6' and have 2500 miles on the 6" and I don't see myself using the 8" cause the 6" works great. Hope I don't get flamed for stating this but felt EddyG needed some support.

At 6'6" the 9 inch that was stock was not getting done for me, all the air was coming up and hitting me right in the face, so I went with a clearview 12 inch with recurve, tinted, and add the adjustable vent, I love it, works fantastic, for me any how.
