I did few 1k+ miles once with the stock seat others on Mustang seat, with Mustang is lot better but I won't say it solved the problem completely. Now I'm using HD circulator pad on top of Mustang little more better but still problem not completely solved.I read on the forum some one mentioning Under Armour compression shorts haven't give it try yet but soon I will. Can't say if from all $$$ I spent got back that many $$$ of comfort so far.

If you haven't tried the shorts yet, you have got to get a pair. I hesitated for a long time. I was going to replace the stock seat on my new RK. I finally ask my wife when she went to Walmart to buy me a pair of the shorts like UA. These are Starter Brand and cost a lot less than UA. I have to tell you they work. I rode close to 350 miles and only stopped to eat and get gas in 98 to 100 degree weather. No butt burn!

1+ one the starter brand under armour at walmart $10 bucks. But check them over I found 2 pair with thread pulls and grey fit different than white.

I didn't bother wading through 15 pages of responses so this may have been mentioned already but this is what has worked for me for 22 years and 4 seats.

It's not cheap but I've found nothing that works better.

Good luck with whatever you decide!

Replace your underwear with spandex shorts. I've put 25000 miles on my bike in the last year. I've not had butt burn wince I changed to these on long trips. I used to get it bad before. But Yahoo!!! No more.

Air Hawk...it works. A pair of "conpression" shorts. Like cycling shorts but without padding. Cotton underware get damp. Just returned from a 4 day 2,200 mile road trip. 700 miles fist day. Stop every 150 miles for gas and a walk around the parking lot. Don't eat any big meals while riding. The only way to give your tail bone a break is to lean forward, taking your weight off. I lean forward and rest my hands on the handle bars in front of the controls. Try it. (need cruisecontrol) Leaning back keeps weight on the tail bone. I rode from about 8am until about 830pm. If you want to cover a lot of miles, it's a lot easier by your self or with some who will ride the same way you will...70, 75, 80. On my trip I only had 4 days. I was home by 330p on the 4th day.

forget the prune juice. A$$less chaps and sheep skin is the way to go for big miles.

me and my brother in law have been doing road trips for the past couple of summers we stop every 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours on the road to just walk around a few minutes. it usually ends up rest area, fuel stop, rest area fuel stop.
