I like to stop often when not pressed for time. I try to look for things you normally would not see and spend time checking them out, For me that is what it is about. If I am going hardcore usually gas stops are enough walk around, stretch and drink plentyof fluids. All of the other stuff above works well too. However I was not happy with the air hawk so I sold mine.

There's a product out of South Carolina, butt buffer. It is hospital bedgrade material covered with velvet. Three sizes, and heavy enough to sit on the seat by itself or it has two straps that attach it under the seat. Couple guys turned me on to this on the ride back from Sturgis. I keep it in the saddle bar and usually lay it on after a couple hundred miles. Also, startedusing medicated powder in my shorts. I carry ear plugs if needed.

adjust your foot pegs if you have them on tour engine guard
so you can move around a little ,remove heel shifter for more room.
and a good seat

A good Mustang seat with a backrest, lots of hydration works well. I also add a pair of mid pegs (they came off a 2003 SG) to my WG to give me another anchor point to hang the feet. Makes a ton of difference, and they just bolt on.

Stay hydrated! I have a 100 oz camelback that is loaded with gator aide (forget sodas or anything with caffeine, they have the opposite impact) secured to the back of my riders backrest with the "tube" secured to my chin strap. Wicking: T-Shirt, socks and underwear (NO cotton underwear or socks). Wear ear plugs
.
Stretch evey gas fill-up for 5 minutes…
