Long distance network cables?

Due to living in a rural area in Australia, my dad had to set up a solar powered router (housed in a trailer) not very far away from our house because we don't get any connection where we are (the trailer has an antennae on it that sends the signal to a router at the back of the house, that router then sends the signal to another router in our house.

As you can probably tell, this would cause latency problems when doing real-time gaming (first person shooters etc). The trailer is probably about 200 meters from our house (maybe a bit more), are there any cables that can go further than 200 meters without signal degradation and will work with a D-link router (the one in the trailer)?

Even if there is a cable like this, I probably won't end up switching to wired instead of wireless, I just think this is an interesting question.

The rest of my family (mostly my brother) uses the internet as well, so it's either them or having wireless internet that's causing the problem.

When downloading, I normally get about 150KB/sec and I can't even play the original Halo (Combat Evolved) with 10 people without getting lag that makes shooting them extremely hard (shots don't register).

When I grow up, I intend to move to a city area where I can get a better connection and play first person shooters with no problem, but until then, I'm stuck with this rural connection.
