Its one of the best albums ever if you ask me. The amount of arabition and range in it is staggering for a band of that time, and there isn't one below-great track.
I don't like post debut Clash much. Seems like every album had a ton of filler. I like Rudie Can't Fail, Spanish Borabs, Train In Vain, Lost In The Supermarket and Revolution Rock.
I don't understand where all this filler talk is coming from. Fair enough if you don't like the songs but trying to play different genres with each song and experimenting away from their original formula in past albums is far from just normal filler if you ask me.
I can agree that there's filler on Give Em' Enough Rope though.
I don't see any obvious filler either; it's a twenty track album why would they add sub standard songs?
I always listen to both recorRAB end to end and while I have my favorites (Rudy, Jimmy Jazz and the Card Cheat among them) I've never felt compelled to skip past a song.
