Lolita: the book or the movie?

I've heard about the book Lolita, and I think it sounds like a really great story. I want to read the book, but I was also wondering if the movie version was any better. So, what do you think? Is the book better than the movie? What did you think of the movies (60's and 90's)? Would you recommend the book?

Never saw the 90's version, never would. The book is better, but the 60's movie is excellent. I'd recommend both. Sue Lyon was perfectly cast.
