OK Here is the question:
The city of Baltimore has been declining in population for the last 50 years. In the year 2000, the population of Baltimore was 651 thousand and declining at a rate of 0.75% per year. If this trend continues:
a) Give in formula for the pop. of batltimore, p, in thousands, as a function of years, t, since 2000
Already got that : P=651(.9925)^t
b) what is predicted pop in 2010?
Got that too, its 603,790
c) To two decimal places, estimate t when the population is 550 thousand.
This is what I need help on and i assume its log? but I was absent that day and just missed it entirely so I need someone to explain to me how to do it please. I have a test tomorrow.
