Locked out of phone password not working?

Hi i need some help. someone tryed to log into my phone to many times, The phone ended up locking on the screen that asks for my email and password. But my gmail and password dont unlock it it just says its invalid. no idea why any ideas without reflashing my phone and erasing everything?
 
if your phone is unlocked your using your own carrier you need to add your own providers APN.
try logging in a few times then you can press menu button and add your own settings.
 
I have a rooted phone but its not unlocked. and hitting menu button doesnt do anything it just keeps asking for my email and password which it says is invalid.
 
hope you had everything backed up. most people wait till it's too late. although reinstalling everything on a phone is not that big of a deal,a backup still saves time.
 
here is the solution! I was trying to unlock my phone for hours right before i was about to do a hard reset I found this and i didnt lose anything.... hope it helps https://www.google.com/accounts/UnlockCaptcha and I put my info in and it said device unlocked, I re-entered my info on my phone and it took me to a new screen to set a new pattern and BAM my device was unlocked and then you can change the settings to take the pattern off...Hope this helps!
 
I have been reading around about trying to reset my phone and I found out how to reset a locked password. Go here it worked for me the first time!
