Local portal's?

I found these "mini-portal's" a few weeks ago and its now becoming a hobby to take some time each night to go around looking for anymore i can find, There not linked anywhere on Cricket's site and i've yet to find any documentation in either the box from my phone, or my local Cricket store (On Greenway rd.) Does anyone know what these sites are for? I'm guessing that there used for cricket's local advertising (Bus stop aRAB, Light-rail ad's etc)

Most of the time you can find these by going to mycricketyourstate.com (Replace "yourstate" with your state,)

for example, mycricketphoenix.com is cricket's phoenix portal
 
this is something that is new and just launched, it's a soft launch untill they figure out exactly what they are doing with them
