Loading time

How can people sit back and say how much better a system with graphics is when it constantly takes 15-1 min to load a fucking scene. If you ever played oblivion, fable ect. You spend more time loading scenes then you do playing. You get in the mind set, "hmm do i really wanna go in that door to wait 40 seconds to load". Zelda you go in doors, out doors any where u want. No loading times FTW
 
I guess if u have countless hours to play vids, but when u have like 2 hours a day max to play a game, i wanna be playing the game for 2 hours not watching some bar go across the screen for 30 minutes of it
 
Nintendo have ALWAYS been good on loading times, its either instand or a few seconds. Its always been an advantage in reviews on games.

Playstation and Xbox are well known for very long loading times in certain games.


Try Oblivion, its fucking awful.
 
you must have alot of time on your hands or your 1 patiant person. I never went inside peoples houses just to avoid any loading. Be honest now it was fucking terrible.
 
wasn't that bad at all. and if it wasn't so painful it wouldn't have gotten rated as high as it did

oblivion is also one of the largest games of all time. the wii will NEVER see anything 1/2 of that
 
Large doesnt = better.

And just to put things into perspective, Zelda has already beaten every single game on the 360 as far as reviews go from gamerankings.com, its the 4th best game of all time. Thats day 1 of the Wii.

The Wii doesnt want ported PC games anyway. Oblivion works 10 times better on its original platform.

Oblivion does have high loading times on the 360, its a fact. Its alot better on the PC though.
 
where did i say large = better?

i was merely pointing out that since oblivion is the largest game of all time...is why the load times are longer....and since wii won't have any game near that the load times are shorter.

and congrats to zelda...but that still doesn't mean the wii is better than the 360 lol. we'll see what else the wii brings to the table
 
Oblivion isnt the largest game of all time by a longshot. Loading times have nothing to do with it because it uses cells, it only loads what you need.

It doesnt mean its better but it does mean the Wii had a far better launch. Beating every game the 360 has ever had is quite a title for a week old console.
 
nothing on 360 and ps3 has made me sad in regard to load times

wii will obviously have faster loads, but it's not something i'd really put into consideration if i had to be poor and only buy one console
 
well it took about 3 mins from the demo screen to actually racing for that offroad game on the ps3
thats a pretty long load time, imo
