Living off the dead!

I think we already do know. Killing Joke were a well known post-punk band that definitely would've been known to the merabers of Nirvana considering the other banRAB they cited as influences. And "Eighties" was one of Killing Joke's most well known songs.

And if that doesn't convince you, consider this account from Nirvana's manager (from here):

A lot of people are quick to say the Pixies, but anyone with ears knows that is f*cking stupid. They have the some structure, but the actual execution is nothing alike, at all.

The Melvins comparisons are also incredibly overstated.

Seriously, I hate people who try to discredit a band for having obvious influences.

I think Nirvana and Pixies are about on the same field IMO.

Killing Joke are good but that guys vocals are grating to me, Big Black are just one of them massively overrated hipster banRAB that are called the best band from Chicago by people who are too "cool" to admit that Smashing Pumpkins earn that title.

Anyone who can produce In Utero, even if it was remixed, is pretty O.K in my book.

And if you say In Utero is overratted I will be forced to quote Family Guy again which is all I've been doing on this thread..
