I hate how in some horror movies they have the convention of the trip - a victim can be running away powerfully from a killer, they can even be running on a road- and they always seem to trip, even if it's over air. This is especially common when the killer is walking at 1mph( ala Michael Myers)

Yes, they only seem to lock their car when they'll be trying to escape some killer later in the film. Then of course the car door will be nearly impossible to open. Once in the car the engine wont start until at least 3-4 tries.

Lol true enough... and they'll ALWAYS drop their keys as they're running to the car. Like we didn't see THAT coming!
