I still can't get over Steve's character, a homosexual genius. Totally the opposite of Michael. :lol: But Steve pulled it off well. I didn't even think of Michael.
 
Saw this movie yesterday and seriously, one of the best movies I've ever seen. Great cast, great script, great everything. I'm seriously in love :love:

Aside from "Catwalkin'" and "Superfreak," do you guys know the titles of any of the other songs that played during the pageant scenes?
 
Suicide? I never got that out of the film either. :look:

I know that Steve Carell's character tried to commit suicide before the film starts but I never thought the grandfather attempted or succeeded in suicide.
 
I love the dance scene as well - i didnt expect it but then again its something the grandad would do lol

I also love Olive's reaction to when she finds out Frank is into men lol 'him?, you fell in love with a boy'

And then the motel scene with her grandad, her asking him if she is pretty - Abi was brilliant here

But wait, he didn't commit suicide, did he? From my POV, he had an OD. I don't think he wanted to die, at least not before getting to see Olive perform.
 
finally got to see this movie after months of waiting and gah! its the best movie of 06 by far... i've watched it three times since tuesday :sigh:
