Hi, I have to write several poems for a literature assignment. I was wondering what people thought of it so far.
Beyond the Window
Peering out the window, a white flag waves over the grass
The landscape vanishes, covered by all
Children play on top of pearly sheets, making heavenly angels
Beyond the window it begins to fall.
Like a delicate feather brushing the skin of a newborn
Schools become buried and buildings lost
Beginning its fragile descent from the heavens, the materials to create a man
As the world remains covered by this white moss.
It does not speak yet brings so much joy
Many go a life without experiencing such a scene
Like a lamington sprinkled with coconut
It creates an illusion of being in a white magical dream.
Like a cold shower it pours all so gently
And soon we are consumed by something so pure
It chills, yet warms the memories of childhood
Constantly reminded of such a scene from brochures.
To love something so divine
But alas it will not last!
For when spring comes, it loses its call
