5) 8 Mile- didnt think i'd like this but i did!- very moving and the ending scene where eminem has a rap contest is very witty. ****

1. The Shawshank Redemption - Perfection in a movie - perfect cast, perfect script, perfect director. The most moving, enriching, and brilliant film I have ever seen; and probably ever will.
2. The Princess Bride - "hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." Inigo Montoya = best movie charactor of the 1980's! :cool: Such a cool film!!
3. It's A Wonderful Life - Life-affirming, dark, funny, sad, uplifting, James Stewart is the best actor ever!!
4. 12 Angry Men - Best cast ever, taut drama, excellent charctorisation
5. Field Of Dreams - "If you build it, he will come" An unlikely classic (can you imagine the director pitching this movie? ;) )
6. Stand By Me - River Phoenix, milk money story, sob, sob, sob :cry:
7. Groundhog Day - Bill Murray at his very best, plus Ned Ryerson=best movie charactor of the 1990's bar none!! :D
8. Lord Of The Rings:The Return Of The King - Epic final film to the greatest trilogy of them all.
9. Star Wars Episode 4: A New Hope - I prefer this to The Empire Strikes back, so sue me!!!
10. Schindler's List - Deeply moving
11. His Girl Friday - Frantically-paced hilarious comedy
12. Reservoir Dogs - I'm not a hugh fan of QT, but this is brilliantly directed.
13. The Usual Suspects - Totally gripping from the word go, great cast
14. Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade - Just so much fun!
15. JFK - OK, so it's a mess of a movie, but what a fab mess it is!!! Great performances by all the cast.
16. My Beautiful Laundrette - An unexpected treasure
17. Rebecca - best of Hitchcock. Very spooky, great twist
18. Glory - Stirring stuff, magnificiantly sad finale
19. The Piano - beautiful, powerful, and moving
20. Goodbye Mr Chips - Does Dead Poets Soceity make you feel sick? Watch this instead!!!
