List reasons as to why the iPhone sucks.

It's cool, and it'll succeed. It's just not right for me, as it stands now. I've been an Apple customer longer than probably anyone on OT, so I'm no stranger to their products? but I don't buy everything with an Apple logo.

Calm down, big dog. I think you'll find a fair amount of people on OT don't hate it, they just don't think it's what THEY want. Most people don't look at it from John Q Public's perspective? because that's not how they think.

Xenu only knows. One of the reasons I wouldn't get one. I imagine the 3G version will allow swapping, though. Americans don't travel, so they don't need a swappable SIM card.

no, and I don't want one...

I can't justify paying over 150$ for a device that makes phone calls.

I already have an MP3 player...

and I have a computer for internet..

you get used to complicated menus the longer u have the phone. and i like that, i like to learn how to use a phone if it takes me time cause it will pay off in the end when i mastered it. if i dont lose it by then

Verizon probably wanted more control over the phone than Apple has, it would have limited their global sales options, and Sprint/Nextel has the worst customer service in the world.

half the shit pple are complaining about...mms, copy/paste(seriously copy paste? ), video capture, 1 touch dial, voice dial, ARE ALL EASILY UPGRADEABLE VIA SOFTWARE. Hell Steve Jobs encouraged pple to write VOIP web apps for the iphone, he's gunna be adding more features via software.

shit like games and ringtons etc all wil come in time.

Then they'd have to make a CDMA/EVDO version -and- an "everywhere but the US" version. Pain in the ass, developmentally speaking. Granted, they're gonna have to do it anyway since they're gonna have to make a 3G version for the rest of the world, btu that's at least basically the same thing and won't require a lot of work.

so basically anyone that is not technologically advanced, and only used the iphone for music/phone and doesn't mind spending the cash should be ok getting one?

two reaons

1. It's only on AT&Ts network, wich is the shittiest company in the industry.
2. limited storage space

the rest is just speculation, and issues related to any first generation product and yes there will be 3rd party applications developed for the iPhone. Apple needs to do two things with the next generation. Increase the storage space, and make it available to a cellular provider that can really take advantage of the iPhones capabilities.
