Lines that make you cringe

The English lyrics to Code Lyoko actually contain the phrase "make evil go away".

Outside of that...pretty much every line of dialogue in the English dub of Rave Master. For example, one of the villains early on in the series makes this threat to his henchmen:

"Or else...dessert tonight will be BROCCOLI ONION ICE CREAM!!"

There are a METRIC TON of corny lines in this series, including:

In a later episode, the broccoli-onion-ice-cream villain recites a little poem: "Tick...tock...tick...tock...five...o'clock...time...to ROCK!"

When Musica is about to be assaulted by his minions, one of them says "You're history!" and Musica responds with "Actually, I prefer science!" and proceeds to discuss his favorite school subjects while he beats them crapless.

Another bad villain line: "You worry more than a fat turkey around the holidays."

In the middle of a major battle, one of the villains notes that Elie resembles someone he knew from high school French class.

Spoken by Haru during a rare serious episode against a villain who can control the elements:
"This form has the power to contain your lightning and flame, or any other power you summon. It's quite simple. In fact, it's element-ary!"

By said villain's foxy female companion:
"This is better than watching a chick flick!"

While said female companion is riding a dragon back to a Shadow Guard HQ from the battle:
"Is your dragon using unleaded again?!"

And everything that comes out of the mouths of the Big Butt Bandits.

So, yeah, watch at your peril.

My brother cringed at this line from Digimon: The Movie.

During the first part of the movie, when Koromon digivolves into Agumon, Kari, who's narrating the events that happen in the movie, says this extremely cheesy line.

"He expanded more than my Uncle Fred at Thanksgiving."

Pretty much any idiotic joke added by the dubbers to Digimon. It was definitely at its utmost worst with....nah, they were all about the same, though if I had to say one was done best, that'd have to be Tamers.

Even so, I can't forget Takeru's narration in the dub for the last episode of 02.

The dialog in Bleach is really generic and annoys me. For every complaint some one has about a corny joke in a bad anime dub, those lines at least have more personality than most lines in Bleach.

Someone mentioned a line in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! I can't stand any line in that show. Normally, with a show this bad I would say that the fans love it for nostalgia alone, but my little brother (Age 14) loves it.

Besides cliched lines that I won't bother listing, here are some others:

"Now I know that my lega-she is REALLY a lega-we."- Marge Simpson

"Mood swings. MOOD SWINGS!!! Moodswings! Mood swingssssssss! Mooooood swings. (etc)"- Homer Simpson

"I don't meant to sound like a Ned Zeppelin, but are my boys abrased and contused?"- Ned Flanders

Lisa yelling all the cheeses Homer has to avoid in "The Italian Bob".

"We need a vial of sperm and an applicator that looks like Jodie Foster's knuckles."- Butch lesbian from Family Guy

More if I think of them.

Made more cringe-worthy when you factor in that Thanksgiving is an American-based holiday, and Kari lives in Japan...where, for that matter, she is unlikely to have an uncle named "Fred"!

The line "That is what you call a Jerkasauras" from Dinosaur.

Yuck...

Also any movie or TV show (animated or otherwise) that drags the old Scarface line "Say hello to my LITTLE FRIEND...!" out of mothballs. Good God, LET IT GO!

I see some mention was made of DBZ Season 3, but there's so much more to mock.

Gohan: "Yeah! Good ol' Namek. Where balls are born!"

Frieza: "All right big guy. Whatever turns you on!" This is supposed to be a cutting, mocking remark toward SSJ Goku.

Dende tells Gohan and Krillin "don't piss off the God of love!" in reference to Namek's eternal dragon. Even though the dragon is not a God and has nothing to do with love whatsoever, it just grants wishes. Also, back then, someone apparently thought "piss off" was a great phrase to indicate that you are making an edgy dub. Eh, heh, ha ha ha........no.

The worst part is that Frieza's VA, as pointed out by a certain fansite, had the unfortunate habit of slurring A's into U's...which didn't help when increasingly we had the character stating "This can't be!"
