Limitation of the iPhone - no texting without looking at the "keys"

On a regular phone you can txt without looking because you know where the buttons are. You can even feel the raised part on the 5 key so you can find it in the dark. This allows you to txt without looking while you're driving so you can keep your eyes on the road. They even did this in the Departed when he sent that text from his phone while it was in his pocket.

I just watched a vid demo of the iPhone. You cannot do this with the iPhone.

This is something no one has thought of.

I suspect the iPhone will increase the number of traffic accidents.

I just dont like looking at the phone to do everything. If I want to get my games, I press down on the center D pad, and then I'm there. I memorize button sequences, like menu-5 is calculator. I can do that in my sleep. Up is text messages..etc etc.
