Lightheaded and Nearly Fainted...

To start things off, I've had health issues for the past 6 months or so. It started with Kidney stones (3 of the little buggers) that I passed. Then I had some gallbladder issues that culminated in its removal almost 3 weeks ago. I have more or less recovered from the surgery (pain is almost gone and is really only present if I bend too far one way or another). Wounds look good and I am pretty good other than one thing. I have bouts of being light headed and I have had moments where I feel like I'm gonna faint. It happened while I was driving yesterday and I had to pull off on the side of the road. That really worried me! I called my surgical doctor today and he thinks it's unrelated to the surgery/anesthesia. I'm not insured at the moment b/c of an insurance window gap when switching companies (great that this is happening during that time right...), so I was wondering if anyone might have a clue of what's going on? My allergies have also been VERY bad recently, to the point where I'm pretty sure I developed a little Tinnitus in one ear (it sounds like a echo in that ear). Not sure if that's related to the weird lightheadedness or the near faints. Oh, and I've been eating pretty well since the surgery, but I haven't really gained much weight. Again, not sure if it's related in any way but the more info, the better the chances of finding a solution. Thanks for any help!

All I can tell you is that first and foremost, you need to go to the hospital regardless of whether you have insurance or not. It may put you in debt, but as they say "Your health is your true wealth". You can worry about the money side of things later.

Secondly, have you been told yet that it's anxiety? Because if they haven't told you that yet, they soon will, and while it may not have been the cause of your problems, if you keep going through these problems your likely to develop it.

Thirdly, seek out an ENT, they usually have an Allergist on-site or nearby, so you can tackle those problems conveniently.

I have some unsolved light-headedness-off-balance feeling as well.

Yeah, well I understand where you're coming from, but with my father and myself both having had surgery recently combined with some other bills, the hospital is a last resort. Especially considering my local hospital is pretty bad (lots of problems with them in the past). It sucks that money is a concern, but it is. I know my health is very important, but if these symptoms fit a trend of people that are usually okay after doing a certain action (like taking supplement x to bring up y), then I'd rather go that route.

And if anyone has experienced this before, I'd love to hear what happened.

Since you've had the gb out I assume you're eating low fat, etc. Have you considered that this might be due to low blood sugar? If you aren't eating enough protein or "good" carbs, this could be the cause. I have low blood sugar normally so whenever I have been sick and when I had my gb out, I really had to make sure I considered that in what I was eating.

Actually, I ate low fat for about 2-3 days. Now I'm back to eating what I would normally eat. Maybe that's causing a problem, but I'm following my doctor's orders of eat whatever you feel like eating after the first 2 days. Is there maybe a group of foods I should try to avoid or try to make sure I'm eating right now? I know the Liver is tightly linked to sugar levels in the body, and since the gallbladder helps the liver not work as hard, it could easily be out of whack. Anything like a "try eating x" and see how you feel?

I'm also kinda trying to avoid "low fat" at the moment b/c I was underweight b/c of my gallbladder before the surgery, so I was hoping to gain a little weight back. I've also been fairly lethargic since the surgery b/c up until about 4 days ago, I still had some soreness left that really kept me from bending/moving certain directions.
