i would like to take a couple of lighters, similar to bics, on a plane home with me from germany. the problem is that i will be traveling with parents, and my having them would raise a couple of eyebrows, for sure. if i take them on my carry on, would this possibly become apparent to them? if so, what are the chances of getting them through with my checked? they really aren't all that important to me, i just thought they would be nice to have as a reminder of my trip. thanks.

You may get them through on checked bags. Not too sure though. Any way it's not worth all the problems it may cause you"
yes, they are allowed on carry on. they are NOT allowed in checked. i only wanted to hear from someone who had done this, to know if my doing so would be obvious or not.
