i have naturally dark dark brown hair, and i decided to make it black. it looks good, but i want it a little lighter so its 'bordering' black and looks really close to black, but is still a really deep shade of brown. the color black is very harsh and i wanna lighten it up a little. if i bought dark brown dye, would it lighten my hair? please do not suggest salons, i have no money, so going anywhere pro is out of the question. would stripping my hair make it return to original dark brown? and also, if i dyed it dark brown over the black dye would it become dark brown?
