Two months ago I got a pretty bad sunburn on my chest and upper arms at the pool. There was some peeling but I've had worse.
A few weeks afterwards I started getting pins and needles feelings in my right upper arm and my chest. It's hard to explain but they would hurt then itch like mad. I understand that with true sunburn poisoning you have nausea and vomiting. I've had neither.
The itching , esp on my arm , began waking me up at night. I'd scratch then put Silver Solution on my arm and chest. It would work for a few hours. I then began taking Benedryl at bedtime and that let me sleep for five hours.
The chest has mostly stopped itching but the right arm now has 3 pimples on it, small ones.
It will itch several times a day.
What is this called? How long will it last? Thank you.
