i have a 99 ram 2wd... i have 2 in coil spacers in front and blocks in the back and 285 tires...... i want to get 35's for it... now i know your gonna say "well its only 2wd" well idc i still think it look bad ass... i just dont know how much more lift i would need to clear 35's? would a 2 in body lift do it? only thing is idk how much more 35's would hurt my mpg.. ive got CAI and trual dual glasspacks with hi flow cats which would help but i dont want my mpg to suffer THAT much.. plus im in college. (tho i live @ home right now).... i really want to get my truck a little higher. because my 285's are oversized i just want a lil more lift/bigger tires so it looks even better and is taller

Lifting involves more than just spacing the springs and blocking the leafs. As much as you're talking about you are looking at a very serious degradation in handling and tire wear if this isn't done properly. Spacers and blocks do not qualify as "properly."

It won't actually hurt your gas mileage all that much; you're carrying a little extra weight so that'll get ya. You will, however, need to allow for the different size tires in that your speedo will be reading low and thus so will your odometer.

I have a '97 Ram by the way except I went lower with smaller tires. Tweaked the engine a bit (well, a lot) and it's doing 395hp/412 torque. Superchargers are nice but the gas mileage is pretty sucky.
