So my 2002 Buick Centry has only 59851 miles on it. Three weeks ago it starting making a very loud ticking noise. So I took it to someone, they did not replace or fix the lifters, but are hoping that I just have week lifters. It still makes a faint small ticking noise, but only the first 5 minutes when I start it, then after this it drives completely smoothly!! Like its bran new!
How much would it cost to have a lifter replaced, or does this sound like I should be okay? Mind you money does not come easily for me with all my bills! I am still making payments on car- and no warranty left.
