lift kits for cars? HELP?

I know it sounds stupid but I have a 1997 pontiac sunfire and I want to lift it... High!... I'm really sick of being the smallest car on the road! Where I live everyone has huge suv's and semi's roll through town all the time as well... so if anyone has any info on what to use... I'm interested... and I could figure it all out if it was a truck but I'm just not sure what steps to go through to complete my BA task! People have done weirder things so please help me out!
 
Other than just being higher...have you thought through the implications of this on your car? The Sunfire engine will probably have a tough time powering such large wheels...so your acceleration and MPG are going to drop through the floor.

Also, since it is a FWD vehicle...that is going to take some major modifications...it isn't as simple as a RWD car where you just buy a longer drive shaft. It would probably be far cheaper just to buy a SUV or truck but the time your done with it.
