I've found someone selling a 1990 Toyota Celica for $1000, its got 280,000 on it and all it needs to become certified is rear sway bar arms, about $200-300 work. The cars body is in perfect condition, hardly any rust and no dings or scratches.
How long will this car last? Is it really a good deal to buy a car for this little and take a risk on the mileage? I have one friend with a 1999 Saturn with 480000km on it and its fine, It would be my first car to buy so i wouldnt expect it to last forever.
