There are several groups eg plants, animals, protists ( simple animal and plant like organisms), fungi, bacteria.......viruses are not considered living but are another different group.
The bacteria are not divided into 2 groups archaebacteria and eubacteria...the former group are the extremophile bacteria and are more different to other bacteria than they are to say the protsits!!
