I hope this post goes here it kind of covers a lot so I'm not sure if it should have been 2 threads in 2 separate forums /sorry/

So I just moved and I don't know people here. This problem is compounded by this being my senior year of high school.

Ive kind of been under a rock for the past few years hiding from the world because of all the shit that was going on with my parents* and what not so I don't really remember how to socialize.

Making friends here is not all that big a deal I leave for boot camp right after I graduate Joined the navy nuke contract looking forward to this is what gets me up in the morning. :)

People Always seem to think I am intelligent or smart or something and while I did well on the asvab and all I cant help but feel that I am massively retarded there are some things I just cant seem to grasp

*My parents are divorcing hence the move I'm living with my mom ,but I have to go back to my dads house this week to take mid terms at the old school. My dad doesn't really want me so this week is going to suck

So my goals are
1. learn to socialize again
2. Learn to not be an idiot (included having that b- average I need to stay in the nuke program ) my currant average is an A- I shouldn't have an issue
3.GET LAID BEFORE BOOT CAMP ( why didn't i make this #1)
4.get in some what better shape ( I qualified to DEP in so I'm not in bad shape )

and this is just the beginning
I feel so much better after typing all this out

I hated moving as a kid, especially part-way through a school year. Hopefully you will meet some nice people at your new school. Hang in there.

Ok kid, now while I cannot say that I have been through the same things as you, I can certainly try to empathize. New schools suck, they really do, but moving is actually a chance for you to become a different person. If there are any character flaws that you feel that you have, then this is your chance to fix them. People don't know you (unless this is just a school hop and not a district move), so you can be whatever you want. Exploit your interests and skills to make friends. And as for the getting laid part, were you socially awkward at your last school? You are no longer! Research all the moves, all the pick up lines (there's actually a thread on here for pick up lines.. strike that, users post mostly weird shit there), all the cool things to do, all the things to say, and use them on the ladies. Most importantly learn to work the bra. Nothing is more impressive to a girl to show her that you probably know what you are doing, than knowing how to unhook the bra with a flick of the fingers. Now as for your dad, I don't really know what to say to that. That is really hard knowing that he doesn't really want you around. If your dad is in the military, this probably won't work, but if he is not, or has never been, then think to yourself that you are a better person than him because you are going to serve in the United States government. Other than that, just try to stay positive, and have as much fun as you can. Maintain your GPA, and try to focus on the future!
