Life Destroyed, no-one can help - what is this illness?

not a problem mate. Cant you go through BUPA or something like that? I know its expensive but well worth it fella. Most of the doctors on the NHS just think everyone is there for a sicknote to get off work and don't take anything serious until its too late. Keep perservering , if you have to go through the NHS then go see another doctor but dont let them fob you off. Sorry Nick, i wish i could be of more help to you but i will be paying a price every day for the rest of my life because of their malpractice.

Hello,
I am really hoping someone may be able to help me as all the doctors have seen have just criticised, ridiculed and generally been very insensitive.

My problem was that I always had a headache and tiredness and after eating this would increase to the point where I could barely think or move, and I had to try and live life in this fashion; going to work being sociable etc.

I went down the food allergies route with no success, I was tested for coeliacs - no success, I then even believe all the online propaganda about 'Candida' and followed a few protocols.

The Candida protocols did work a little in the sens I used to get die-off where the toxins are released and you get headaches, rashes etc.

I then tried a herbal parasite cleanse - and this is where I made my breakthrough. I was having extreme faltulence whilst excreting a very strange looking slime.

This cleanse improved a little and allowed me to eat things like meat and rice quite freely, but any dairy products or sugar just completely immobilised me and increased my headaches to an unbearable level.

To cut a long story short I have used anti-bacterial, anti-parasitic and anti-fungal herbs and medicines and all seem to give me a pressurised feeling in my nose and tingling all around my head, whilst I often have a slimey looking phlegm coughed up from my throat.

At one stage it used to feel like I had a really tight headband on, but now its just a really strong pressure in my nose and strong tingling all over my head.

The above symptoms would be less worrying if it wasnt for the contstant headaches and inability to think clearly - my life is a mess, and the doctors are pathetic.

Please can someone help me?

What kind of doctor have you seen? Did you see a neurologist? That's terrible you couldn't find someone to take you seriously! There are good doctors out there. I know they're hard to find and it can be discouraging but do keep trying - for your own health.

Are you being treated or have you been treated for migraine? Are you still headachy/tired after eating? Or is it mainly the sinus problems now?

I've been treated for nothing. Once they did their standard tests they decided it was all in my head; a conclusion which my next doctor started from.

The sinus issues are minor, the fact I have a constant headache, a surreal perception (not quite delusional, but uncomfortable enough) - and most of all the inability to think clearly or to even have more than basic mental function is soul destroying.

I'm irritable, im tired, I cant think and its all because of some infection thats not even real.

I think it may be related to some dodgy dental work, so im going to see my dentist about dentigerous cysts.

It just pisses me off that on top of all this i have to suffer a life of crap and do all the self-diagnosing.

The headaches come from eating foods. I did a lot of restriction diets with limited success, and put the culprit as being dairy and high sugar foods. This diet, however, did not cure my problems.

I believed I had candida, falsely, due to internet crackpots. This led me to a parasite herbal cleanse which actually had significant effects: I was excreting slime and had strong and frequent flatulence. During this cleanse was the first time I felt the movement/tinglign sensations; it felt like it was at the very tip of my nose.

Oral mouthwashes with Grapefruit seed extract, a natrual anti-fungal and anti-biotic made an even bigger breakthrough; where the herbs were mainly affecting the colon, this actually got into my head, and when doing these mouthwashes it actually felt like I had a headband on all over and arounf my head which was very tight. Another side effect was an increase in headaches, although my head actually felt clearer.

The above technique didnt seem to be making fast progress, but when I had some amoxicillin for another infection at christmas that seemed to give me even worse headaches, with bloodshot eyes but my mind was clear, apart from the headaches. During this time I could also eat junk food and dairy with no ill effect.

I only had a one week course of amoxicillin and it never gave me a full cure; infact, I dont think it had any long term benefit.

As the cleansing went on the headband turned into tingling and pressure scattered over my head and down the sides of my cheek, also with random twitching above my lip and in my chin.

Obviously progress is being made, and just this week I spoke to my dentist who took an x-ray and said there is something just above my gums in the sinus which needs to be checked out by a specialist. I also went to my doctor and said I need their help and I refuse to accept that this is an under-lying mental issue because my life is being ruined and it definitely isnt. She said I'm thinking too hard, I said your not giving me the correct help and have done basic tests that proved my organs work and my blood is fine - so of course I need to listen to my body if no-one else will. She then replied she has no answer and will need to send me to someone else at the hospital.

So thats two appointments at the hopsital, a confirmed abnormality in my gums, and the added bonus that the albendazole I ordered off the internet also seems to be curing me.

I wont be making any assumptions or celebration parties just though. Thanks again for your replies.

If I eat healthy then its not so bad, bud foods with high sugar and dairy stil make it worse; and it is always there constantly to a lesser degree.

I went to see a few standard doctors who did loads of blood tests and even took a stool test but then tried to treat me for some kind of mental issue - when it's clearly not.

Have your sugar levels been tested? You said that sugar and dairy products still bother you. Dairy products have Lactase, which is milk sugar. I used to get headaches from low blood sugar and had to eat. Maybe you have high blood sugar after you eat... Diabetes maybe?

Or maybe there are certain ingredients that are in a lot of food that trigger your migraines. You don't always have to be allergic to something for it to trigger migraines. I know one of my migraine triggers is MSG, but I'm not "Allergic" to it.

That is an excellent post - I really feel that could be a possibility.

This week I first heard of neuralgia, which I previously thought was the bacterial problem itself moving.

The link with the stomache etc it all makes sense - being so close to the brain could explain some of the neurological issue, but also when cleansing my colon my symptoms in the head are cleared up too.

I thought about Lyme for quite a while and had small success with samento and also the Salt and Vitamin C protocol.

When on the salt and C I actually passed a lot of orange slime in my stools. At first it looked like a green seaweed covering and amongst my waste matter, but pressing it against the side of the toilet with a stick made it clear it was an orange, lump slime type substance.

The X-ray took at the dentist clearly showed a lump in the gums above where i have some dental work and also where i feel pressure and a strong pulse - some of the nueralgia i mentioned.

Hate to tell you this mate but you might need to go private. If you're seeing a NHS doctor then don't hold out much hope. I went for years complaining of a sore lower right back, just like you they kept telling me nothing was wrong with me, the most they prescribed for me was an A4 sized sheet with back exercises. Then one day i was in the U.S and i decided to see what the doctors here would say, after doing a urine sample (which they never did at home) i was told i had blood in my urine, something was going on. Eventually i found out my right kidney was almost twice the size of my left one, i eventually lost the kidney as it was about to burst. I went back and saw the doctor who mis diagnosed for years and he just said "oh well, we don't always get it right". If something is wrong mate, don't let up, you know your body better than anyone

I was going to say Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) Reactions too. There are so many different ways that people react to this stuff. There are around 40different names for this product they keep putting in all our foods. Might be your getting it in your diet and don't even know it. Cleaning out the colon of the toxins that are built up does make you feel better, I've done that too. But it may be helping you because it's sweeping out what ever your allergic to. Try looking up MSG names, there should be quite a few on the list you find. See if you may be getting it in your foods and don't know it. It's even in canned tuna now, listed as natural flavoring. It's not natural flavoring it's MSG, I wish they would just call it what it is! MSG occurs naturally in foods too, but if your allergic to it because your getting it in almost everything you eat then you'll be allergic to the natural occurring product also. Hope you find your Cure! Diana

Yes, mate. I know this is real, there is evidence a million times beyond doubt that shows I have some kind of parasite or bacterial/fungal issues.

I dont know who to go and see private, though?

Can you advise at all, please?

appreciate your comments, by the way.

Your potenetially correct about MSG. Straying away from a natural fruit, veg, seed & oild diet does further complicate things. Unfortunately, though, the MSG theory does not account for the reaction my body has with anti-bacterial herbs and the movement/neuralgia type symptoms that are present in my head.

One theory is that it may be related to dental issues, this would potentially make sense with this weeks discovery of an abnormality on an X-ray.

Even withouth eating foor, I am far from optimal mental and physical health, and not wanting to rely solely on the dental issue, I finally got my doctor to admit shes out of her depth and that I will need to see a specialist.

So it does look more promising than it has done for a while with 2 specialist appointments to be confirmed shortly, and my health getting better due th albendazole i purchased on the net, I am slightly more optimisitc than I have been for a while.

Thanks for your reply, I definitely feel MSG could be a side issue, especially as when I had a take-away pizza it caused me quite some discomfort in the chest and breathing.

The headaches and migraines have all ceased in intensity; the more I continue with anti-bacterial herbs the less my symptoms become. I also get die off in the form of rashes and blood shot eyes and increased headahces..

I've tried every combination of elemination diet, I've been tested for coeliacs.

If someone can explain all the all the tingling/moving in my head, the localised pulse elevation in the same areas and all the pressure I feel in my nose that might start to make sense a bit.

Thanks for your help.

Yes you may have other issues, but if it's lymes, Do Not Mess around with it, it can manifest all over in the body. You absolutely need antibiotics for something like that. Find out if you have it. It's expensive for the blood test here but the sooner the better is best if you have it. Keep us posted. Diana

I found an article titled, "Nutraceuticals Breakthrough in Lyme Disease" which is
how I learned that many symptoms and diseases are linked to lyme disease.
It's well worth taking the time to read it, whether you are a lyme sufferer or not.
I gave a copy to my neighbor who is most likely suffering from lyme, and he is taking it with him on his next visit to his rheumatologist because the doc didn't know that lyme and rheumatoid arthritis are related.

I second with Sentencedoing, please get tested for diabetes or prediabetes.

Or you could have a obstructive nasal/ enlarged turbinate that needs reduction.

If what you eat is related to your fatigue, most likely it could be diabetes.

Your headache could also be related to the diabetes OR a neurological or ENT related caused.

If you can more clear in what other symptoms or any other medical conditions you have.

Also are you fit? Do you exercise? Smoke drink?

I reread your post and you said you feel a pressure in your nose. IT could be have a sinus/enlarged turbinate that needs to be reduced since it may be blocking your airway path and also causing headaches.

I had the mine nasal turbinates removed with laser. I had horrible headaches and they don't existed anymore...

Nick, glad to hear you had success with getting a different doctor, I think it's hard for some doc's to admit they don't know your problem. Maybe you have a growth in your gums, you know everything that is in the mouth eventually goes to the stomach and through the system. Perhaps there is some test to see what bacteria problem you have? I think it's trial and error with antibiotics. When I had a really bad Lymes rash on my back, the doctor had to try three different kinds to get the rash to stop growing.

If you have some pocket of infection between the nose and gums, it's awfully close to the brain, not only would you have everything that comes along with infections but neuralgia problems in the face too. I had this with a tooth infection that was by the base of the root in the tooth. Tingling all along the side of the face, when I bent over I could feel a pocket of liquid that would drain inside up to almost my eye. I hope you can find out what it is you have quickly, keep us posted what you find out. Diana
