Hey all

I am considering joining the Royal Australian Navy as a cook, Looking to start applying early next year and I was wonder when you get to the ports around the world do you as a cook get to leave the shit or are you stuck on the ship cooking for those that also can not leave the ship?

I am not just asking for answers from people in Australian Navy anyone that might know can help me out :)

You get to leave the ship when liberty is called if you do not have the duty. In the U.S. Navy the cooks work 24 hours on and 48 hours off. At least that is how it was 40 years ago.
