One Term Barry seems to be disfavoring 'global warming' in fact the phrase is disappearing from his lexicon. Why is that?

Is it because the hottest year on record was 1997 and temperatures have declined steadily?

Is it because this was the coldest June in New York City since 1958.

Is it because this is the year without a summer in the Northeast? 18th coldest summer since 1884?

Is it because Barry's cap and trade tax scheme appears to be dead on arrival in the US Senate?

Climate change happens 4 times every year. Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring

Barry should know that we learned that stuff before Kindergarten.

It's being called climate change because people took the term "global warming" too literally. People hear global warming and have the reaction "WELL WHY IS IT STILL COLD?" The change represents very minor shifts in overall temperature changes, particularly at the polar regions where the ozone is the weakest, which puts glaciers in particular risk.


Incidentally, way to site a source for Obama supporting Climate Change legislation but not where any of your climate facts come from.

More importantly, I don't get the Republican opposition to the idea of climate change. It's widely supported by scientists in the field, and even if the dangers ARE overstated, the end-goals are still incredibly beneficial. Is there a problem with trying to reduce energy consumption, reduce pollution, and create renewable forms of energy? Won't we all still benefit longterm from reduce air and water pollutions? Don't most Republicans even agree that we need greater energy independece?

Further warming didn't happen. Now they say that unpredictability itself is the problem, and that it is somehow new. They blame ....... ready for it? ...... industry. They call it 'climate change' and call for new government solutions, including new taxes. Because they say the problem is unpredictability, they have relieved themselves, in their own minds, of the burden of making accurate predictions.

And there are some who actually still buy it.

I think Barry must have skipped the day they taught seasons in Kindergarten, just like he skipped all of his pastor's racist speeches and just like he skipped half the Senate votes during his term. That must have been the day when they explained that there are only 50 states.

I think the Democrats are extremely cynical though. They know it's cooling. They'll pass "cap and tax" and then when it continues to cool, they'll not only concede it but take credit for it. Just watch.
 
Barry seems to be wrong on everything he touches, I pray your right on that cap and trade bill coming up, it will ruin us. real fuzzy science.
 
He just agreed at g8 that the world 'won't allow' temperature to rise above 2 degrees celsius starting from the beginning of the industrial revolution.

I put him up against sun spots and global temperature variations between ice ages, and guess who loses?
 
Maybe one day you'll actually learn something about science.. but for now lets start with some simple language and definitions.

Weather: Local patterns of heat/cold and precipitation. Examples: A storm, or a "locally" cold June.

Climate: Regional long term weather trends as well as a culmination of local ecosystems. A desert has an "Arid Climate" (p.s. deserts can be hot as hell or cold as hell)


Climate change is not weather, as you seem to want to define it. All of the worlds climates are raising in elevation. So in many places deserts will expand, forests will retreat up mountains, who knows what could happen in the bread basket.. it could stay plains or start to head towards a more arid climate... all driven by the fact that the Earth is trapping more solar energy than it has in recent past.


By the way, this is again just weather, but so very many places across the globe, not just the NE US you seem to be obsessed with, are marking record highs.
 
Climate Change is a result of Global Warming . The Ice is melting at the North and South Poles . Bury your head in the sand if you want to. Knowing that Pollution is a cause - is to know that the affects can be turned around . By how much is the question .
 
I've asked that too. They changed from "global warming, to "climate change" because they want to ride the fence. They are now saying it's colder because of green house gases.

I know it's hard to believe, but people this stupid actually exist.
 
Climate change has been the new phrase for some time now....

Global warming, Climate change..... it's a symantics game.

The fact is "climate change" is more accurate, since global warming doesn't just produce "warm weather"... ...it produces irratic and severe weather which means severe blizzards, tornadoes, hurricanes, drought, and flooding...often in places where it's not considered "normal".

(5th grade experiment: Put a pot of water on the stove. Let it sit until the water appears to be "still". Turn on the heat, and watch the water begin to "move" before it even boils. Explain why heat causes the water molecules to speed up.)

The earth is mostly water...
The more heat the earth absorbs, the more dramatic the weather is going to be. In a closed system heat exchange is called ENTROPY in case you are interested..
 
Haven't you heard? It's now "climate change" that's got us scared socialist.

It's easy to prove: Last year 1 area out of a hundred had some kind of freaky "100 year weather extreme". And this frightening trend has been going on for awhile.
 
Liberals do not care about facts. They don't care about the alleged, man-made global warming. They want your money. This fraud called climate change is their excuse to raise taxes.
