Advantages: well, no worries about unwanted pregnancy. you can participate in things like pride parades...and you can hook up easily in public washrooms! Haha. I guess it also sort of encourages you to be really accepting to everyone, and less judgmental.
Disadvantages: Social stigma, obviously, lack of rights in some countries, you can't procreate on your own. Also, there are quite a few more straight people in the world than LGBT, so it's harder to find a partner.
But honestly, if you're gay, you're gay and there's no pros/cons list needed. You can't make that decision.

Women/women advantages:
-No worries about pregnancy
-Few worries about STDs--of all sexes and orientations, lesbians are the least likely to have STDs
-Can communicate with each other in subtle ways that hetero couples can only dream of
-We speak the "same language"--there's none of this "I don't understand women" or "Guys can be so confusing"
-In tune with each other's bodies--the best person to please a woman's body is another woman
-There is no male ego, like with some straight guys
-Don't have to "settle" for the best man you can get when it comes to having babies. Since most straight women can't marry men who are 9s or 10s, they generally also can't have their children fathered by these top-quality men. They have to settle for the best man they can get to marry them, and sometimes his genes aren't the best. But this is not a problem for lesbians. The advantage is in following your natural inclinations, rather than pretending to be someone you were never born to be! Were you born straight, or do you have equal desires for men and women. That's what "being gay is a choice," would mean.
