lg xenon phone touch screen not working. help?

i need help. my lg xenon gr500f touch screen isn't working? my friend wet it i think Lil.. i tried to take out the BATTERY and put it back in. it didn't work. ill try the 20 second thing.. anything else i can do? 10 points
 
if water gets on your phone in any way, you should take the battery out asap...and leave it out for at least a day! at least thats what my they said when i did the same exact thing!!
