LG vx8575 Chocolate Touch WAP and MMS?

I already got a cricket prl on it, but I was wondering how to get wap and mms working. I tried using nvedit to change the settings but after I write the cricket settings and the phone restarts they revert back to the verizon settings. So I tried doing it manually using ##PROGRAM8575 but I can't edit anything so I'm guessing that either the paramtable1 or fileDB need to be changed. If anyone knows how to get wap and mms working on the vx8575, your help would be greatly appreciated.
 
I have yet to work on one yet, but you are probably correct in the fileDB needing to be edited. You can get biptim at bitpim.org, than just find a hex editer online. There are several for free. Just edit according to either the vx9900 or vx10000 tutorials, and you should be good.
 
bitpim didnt recognize the my lg 8575, or atleast it didnt come up with the filesystem.
and lgnpst didnt let me edit the wap or mip settings.

i havent given up yet. ill post any progress.
 
have you tried manually selecting a different model in bitpim...works for other phones, may work for this one. If I come across one I will see what I can figure out, but have yet to have a customer bring one in to flash.
 
Turns out the lady got tired of waiting and just took the phone partially flashed, which is too bad because i was looking forward to getting wap and mms to work. Hopefully I can get my hanRAB on another choco touch sometime and actually full flash it.
 
Search it or Pay it. The best way to look for ... its google. otherwise pay to get files or pay somebody to make it to work. Everybody need to put some work...
 
I'm just wondering why does everyone say pm me for help why not just post it so everyone can see does this mean your going to ask them to pay something for your services? Because I'm looking for the dll for the 8575 also and can't find it I'll continue to look and if I find it I'll post the link here so no one will have to pm for it and everyone can just see it...

Your idea can help a few people till the site gets shut down and then guess what? no one at all will be able to get any help. Hey all, I have read many replies and just don't understand all the lingo.
What is dll, flash, cricket. I have the vx8575 and love t. BUt it drives me crazy that most apps are supported on this phone.
Can someone explain the lingo talk to me?
