You CAN do brew on the Chocolate 2. As well as any other phone that will play music in the background. They have a different music player which will NOT be lost by editting brew. However, your Verizon apps will still dissappear, including mass storage device mode I believe (up to you if thats more important than brew or not).
You can change brew on Chocolate, Chocolate 2, Venus, Dare bc they play music in the background.

I have a vx8550 v1 with firmware v3 on it, I have followed the flashing guide for the vx9900 as suggested and sucesfully flashes a vx9900 to cricket, however, this vx5500 is giving me nothing but problems, no wap no nothing, I have been meticiulous about following directions and still nothing, I even mirrored my phone setting to the above picture and nothing, someone please help me here!

using lgdownload and the 8550 dll from humpas site. I can supply screen shorts if required.

You are talking about a vx5500 or a vx8550?? Let us know which one you are having difficulty with.
