has anyone had a successful flash for an lg vx6000? im looking for a new phone and that may be a possible choice. its on verizon now, im about , but when i called cricket they wont recognize the esn. possibly becasue the phone is still on verizon, im not sure.

i want to make sure that it has been done before i waste the money and order this phone.

no it doesn't have a meid but that site will give you the dec esn which cricket neeRAB. the site is also useful for getting dec meiRAB for meid phones. as for wap and mms that phone is so old i couldn't begin to hack it. way different than most lgs we mess with

oh yeah.. that makes sense. but customer care can take HEX esn's. only dealers must enter both the decimal and the hex esn's, and hopefully a dealer would be smart enough to figure out how to get the decimal from the hex.

shouldnt the meid of a phone be 14 digits?

i put in a esn of a phone from ebay and only got 11. would that work or is there a different esn nurabe i need to get to get a 14 digit nuraber?

you can only convert FROM meid TO a pESN. you cannot go from esn to meid. cricket will take the esn you do not need an meid, but you might need to get the 11 digit decimal esn.

8 digits is hex esn
11 digits is dec esn
14 is the hex meid
18 is the dec meid

you need either the 11 or 18 digit one depending on your phone. at a store you will also need the 8 digit one.

well when i called cricket and gave them the esn of the phone i looked at on ebay, the esn being along the lines of 43ax32, i got to the a and they said that they couldnt activate it that way. the way i took some of the stuff i read i can give them a meid and they can do it that way. but im not sure.

unless you won the phone I wouldn't do that. I also wouldn't do it unless shipping is gonna be quick (I can't live without a phone, lol). But if it's an MEID phone, you should give them the MEID in dec form.

no im gonna get it from ebay, my phone is ok but the screen is starting to go out so it will be here soon hopefully. then i will begin the flashing process. im knda excited, ive been reading up on it and it should be fun. ive done alot with computers but never anything with phones, should be a good learning experience.

ok, phone is on the way. i have a basic idea of what im doing. just looking for tips and tricks on how to do this.

its funny how different a phone is from a computer. :D
