LG VOYAGER- flashed questions...

Ok...so I got a voyager and got it flashed to cricket...picture messaging and internet working fine...I dont know much about this whole flashing stuff...i got someone to do it for me...so anyway here is the question....

On the voyager there is mobile IM and I was wondering if there was anyway to make that work with the cricket service and the mobile email...or if I just have to check my email through the internet itself....

When I try to log into my aim through mobile Im on the voyager it starts logging in but then times out and says communication error...

Is there ANYWAY to make that work? :help:

We've been investigating recently and it seems that if you leave the Verizon WAP settings in place that you can still get the WAP and MMS features to resolve to Cricket's services. This is granted you set the phone to M.IP Preferred in stead of M.IP Only.

The only way to know for sure is for someone to leave the Verzion WAP and MMS settings in place while programming the NAM for Cricket. So try setting all your Cricket WAP info back to Verizon (leave MMS for now) and see if you can still connect.

But in this way, theoretically, you COULD have your IM working 100%.

I would try what you said...only if I knew how...I payed someone to flash the phone over for me...if you are willing to some what guide me through it I am willing to try it...

I've had the Verizon Get It Now services resolve over Cricket provisioning before. I wish I had another phone to experiment with this further.......

you need to point it to wap.mycricket.com port 8080

sooo....if i understand this correctly, if i do that i will be able to get it to work without having to get verizon pre pay...
