LG Viewty KU990 problem (can't hear the other person on the handset)?

I have a LG Viewty KU990. Recently, I have started facing this problem. When I call somebody or when I get a call from someone and answer the phone, I am not able to hear the other person on the handset. I didn't have this problem before. But now the only way to speak on the phone is to turn on the loudspeaker. This is very annoying. Did I change any settings by mistake???

Please help.
