The ERI does show if you have it loaded, if it says NONE than its not loaded. You do not need to reflash it to load the ERI, you have to do an ERI load that can be done from lg download
 
indeed, mine says eri 1. but its only been flashed a week. let ya know what it is in a month or so.........

LOAD THE FREAKIN ERI :lol:
 
Is this the ERI file? T26LGV05_00.bin

I did a full reflash by following the tutorial that included loading the file above. It still showed eri - none

I tried using lg download 1.6 eri write and loaded the file above and had the same result.

Am I using the right file and procedure?

After speaking with cricket, the told me that some recent changes to their network has caused problems with some flashed phones. I have one customer that can call out fine when she is in dayton, but when she comes to cincinnati she can't call out.
 
Thanks.. The rumor files that I had did not inculde that file.. So I downloaded the rumor installation file and loaded the eri file to the phone. It now shows ERI 1, but the phone still has the same problem.. it won't dial out.

Thanks for your help.. I sent a phone to cricket corporate and they are trying to figure out why these are not working in this market.
 
This is what I just got from one of my customers:
"okayy, & one more thing.
i was using the phone perfectly fine about an hour ago
and than when i just went to go use it now,
it wont send any messages and it doesnt allow me to make calls.

does that mean that its looking for service?

Locking out foreign sid's helped when I had the phone here, but when i mailed it to her its doing this silly thing.
When it was here it was doing the not dialing out thing, but then when i locked out foreign sid's and then put roaming on automatic/any it was doing great.
does anyone else suspect this is the problem?
Anyway, Im pretty sure I loaded the freakin eri, but maybe i forgot to load the freakin one. There is a regular one and the freakin one...I will get back to you on that.

I guess we will see how long it works...I know yall think im crazy but it has something to do with fiddling with those settings. When her phone was here i had to lock out sid's and put it in automatic, and now that she has it putting the settings on "home only" instead of automatic is working. I also think *22804 helps the phone find the rt towers.
If her phone goes crazy again i will post it.
 
I've said this before, it's very likely the wrong type of PRL being loaded. the *22804 includes a PRL download, it's likely it changed the PRL to appropriate one. Home only should be helpful as well
 
This is what I was having issues with as well. With any other PRL flashed the phone would work but with Metros it would roam. Even set to home. I didnt do this though I wish I tried, I just took another 260 read the NV with CDMA:WS and wrote it to my 260. Works now! Though I did just kill a R430 prepay by sending the wrong pass to it... now it comes on says Low Bat and shuts off... parts phone!
 
Thanks for the files, im a total noob and I had no problems whatsoever, used qpst to chnage the un and pass and now I am on the web. With this I cannot understand how anyone could brick their phone

The rumors are working again in the cincinnati market temporarily.. I spoke with one of the people at cricket and they had disabled 2G on the towers in this market.. I guess there is something with the way the rumors are flashed that forces it to 2G. Cricket is working on a solution, but they will turn the 2G off again at the end of the month. Does this make sense to anyone? I guess this may start effecting people in other markets as well.
