LG or Motorola

Which brand of phone seems to be better? I am a Verizon user (that might change depending on the status of my issue) and I bought the Motorola E815 phone. I have it for 2 months and I had to have it replaced due to being a lemon....well I just got my replacement in and that is now going back for it is also screwed up. The woman in customer service laughed when I told her the phone model I have so I am thinking about dumping Motorola all together. I want to have a phone that can take MP3's and have a niec digital camera built in. I was looking at the LG VX8100 (http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/controller?item=phoneFirst&action=viewPhoneDetail&selectedPhoneId=1820). Is that a better phone? What brand is the best one to go with?

Thanks!!!!!

i have the motorola e815 and its been a great phone. i work for verizon and we rarely get any complaints about the 815 at my store (authorized agent not corp.). now the 710 had a lot more issues. so it just sounds like you got a bad 815 then a refurbished 815 (refurb.'s suck!). the 8100 has been a decent phone but some people have said they drop calls here and there which is always an issue with most LG phones. but the new LG's have been a lot better than the previous models. take a look at some of the differnt samsung models like the a970. 2.0 mega pixel camera / video, bt, scan disk slot, mps buttons up front, dual lcd, etc. im probably going to be upgrading to that phone very soon.

How good is the Samsung SCH-a950? How much more expensive it is than the E815 phone I already have? Since my phone is only 2 months old what will it cost to upgrade to the Samsung?

I greatly appreciate all your help!

the a-950 has also been a great phone which im thinking of switching too as well. the a-970 is bulky but has the 2.0 mega pixel camera which isnt getting rave reviews but after using it i think its still better than a 1.3. since you arent eligble for an upgrade the price of the phone increases by a lot! the 950 is about $370 and 970 is about $500 retail price. you only get the discounted price on the phone when you are eldg. for an upgrade or doing a new activation.

I am a huge LG fan. We are an indirect dealer and have very few issues with the LGs phones in the last 2 years. The Samsungs are also very good. IMO either are better than Motorola but I know theres alot of moto fans that will disagree. The 8100 and 950 are similar feature wise and price wise. I don't think you'll be unhappy with either.Cameras a lil better on the Samsung.

yea its hit or miss with all companies they all have thier great phones and thier duds. moto's biggest duds of recent are the v260-265-276. lg's are the 3200-3300 (not as bad as) the 4500-4600-6000 imho.and id have to say samsung has the least duds out of any company.

It depends on what your usage will be. Moto phones use iTap while LG use T9. If you plan to use Mobile Web, iTap is not supported so entering text in Openwave is very painful - one of the main reasons I returned my E815. If you get the 9800, it is a moot point.
