lg neon sim card help

i have a at&t go phone, its called the lg neon, and i was wondering if i purchase a unlocked razri, if my sim card would still work, im wondering because i had a old razr before and the sim card i used for it didn't work in my neon, so will the new one i have work in my razri?
 
I believe go phone sim cards are locked to the device they are put in for a period of 6 months. If it has not been past 6 months, the sim card cannot be switched without assistance from AT&T.
Unless you had a really old sim card, it should have worked from 1 phone to another, unless the sim card was bad.
