LG Chocolate Touch or enV Touch???

Looking to jump ship from AT&T to Verizon. I used to have Verizon and had great service but when I met my wife she had AT&T and had great service too. So I dumped my Verizon family plan and we went with hers because of a better deal they offered to keep us. Well it seems like over the last year AT&T service has declined. We are constantly getting dropped calls, texts not going through and I can't get 3G where we live or I work. So wer are thinking about cancelling with AT&T and going with Verizon.

I have already decided on the Droid Eris for myself and my wife likes the enV3. It is my daughter that I need to figure out a phone for if we do this. She currently uses the Samsung Eternity and loves everything about it. So obviously she would want another touch screen phone. She primarily uses it for texting, talking and on the go picture taking. No mobile web or e-mail. So out of the Chocolate Touch or enV Touch which would be better for her and close to the Eternity. Or is there a Verizon version of the Eternity coming soon.

One question I did have about the enV Touch is about texting. She likes using the touch qwerty on her Eternity. Does the enV Touch have a virtual qwerty that can be used when it is closed???

I don't know if this makes a difference, but the enV touch now requires a 9.99 data package (or whatever they are calling it now). It is a "enhanced multimedia device" and along with the Samsung Rogue, require some sort of extra fee--email or something. It's a shame too, those are both the phones I was looking at upgrading to. I am getting the Chocolate touch today. Hope I like it after years with Motorola.
