I have a 93 jeep cherokee This past Monday the check engine light came on I do all my woke my self And I do know how to check the codes. I Got a code 12 first which is the start of the test, The next code that came up was a code 52 5 flashes pause 2 flashes. Ok in the book I have on that model jeep nothing is mention about a code 52. So i called around and found out what that code means. The reason for that code is that it's tell me that the code check is finished {no other codes followed} My question is Why want my light go out after I undid the battery so I could reset the system? The car runs fine and I passed my emission test before this happened. If anyone knows or has had this problem before Please share Thanks
 
I can't help you with your problem.Though on A Current Affair last night there was a family that spoke of their brand new jeep catching fire for no apparent reason.There have been numerous cases of this happen this year,& every other year.
I would sell it if I were you.Go to [email protected] where you can view the story & see the vehicles go up in flames.
