the United States? I'm just wondering if some whites who usually vote Democrat and say they are voting for Obama in the polls will actually be reluctant to pull the trigger for him on election day.

Unfortunately, there are people in the world that DO vote based on color, white or black. If this was 20 years ago I'd say not at all, but today the minority is becoming the majority in this country. Plus, today's society is definitely less conservative as a whole, and seeing that the states that Democrats need the most are swing states..they've usually voted republican... but the Democratic Party has registered the most in these states for this election...but what are they known for? To sit at home on election day.

So considering the new voters, the young voters, and the new social awareness our country has reached in the 21st century, I think it will be a very close race. It all depends if people go out and actually vote on election day.

considering the outcome of recent elections, I'd say a liberal doesn't have much chance of winning an election.

The race issue is going to put a twist in it this time. I don't think anyone can really say what people's final decision will be. They do not have to broadcast it, so it won't ever be known. There are a lot of closet racists in this country.

1. lets see when he does you will know. I was raised to believe by my father we would never have a black Pres. and now we got one so close to becoming its breathtaking, not only is he black he is what all americans are mixed up with different races to make one America.

2. When William Clinton became Pres. the said he did not have enough experience too young, same things they say about Obama. except noone said anything about his color or race. dick cheney has a black cousin Obama noone got mad or disliked him, get over the races we all have some other race in us.

No, race isnt that big. but he IS too liberal for about 90% of the country (excluding California)

No and the key word is LIBERAL.....If it were Colin Powell, he would have WIDE spread support....

Obama has ZERO experience to be President. He has a college degree, has worked in the community, which millions of Americans are doing, and he has voted present in the senate.

In addition, he is not what he says he is. Obama's father figure mentor was Frank Marshall Davis, leader of the Communist Group USA, which makes him very dangerous for our country. See link:

Plus, we do not want our country to be controlled by Pelosi, Reid, Obama, and Biden. No thanks to socialism!! No thanks to higher taxes!! No thanks to more government agencies!! No thanks to a failed Congress!!

I wouldn't count him out. How many really believed he would get the Democratic nomination....yet he did (and against a Clinton too).

I would actually give him the odds on this one.

Not with Biden as a running mate. He's sinking the Mighty O quicker'n an iceberg.
