Lethal Weapon 5

Apparently, if talks with Mel Gibson go well, the creator of all the 4 Lethal Weapon films, will make a 5th and final film to put the franchise to rest.

Would a 5th film be any good, or should they have stopped before even making Lethal Weapon 4?

Padzter :D

If you look at all trilogies, (The Matrix, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings etc etc etc...) these are always a success. As soon as directors/filmakers start with a fourth film the storyline and passion of the original films decline known as "milking it" (Aliens, Superman, Lethal Weapon and so on...)

I think they'll be making a mistake if they do make a 5th. The first three were great the fourth wasn't so. They may aswell make the fifth but it won't be as good as the original 3.

Well, Lethal Weapon 3 was terrible, so when they announced part 4 I didn't expect much.
But to my surprise it was a very good movie that balanced action and humour pretty well.

So I would not really object a fifth instalment.

I would quite like to see a fifth Lethal Weapon film. I enjoyed the four films & if the fifth film is going to be the last one, i would like to know how it finishes.

Wasn't it supposed to be Danny Glover's 50th birthday in the first film?

That would make him 63 if the film was released today.

A couple of years to make the film would make him 65, so the story could be about a missing set of teeth, or someone stealing Werthers originals from the post office.

(I'm too old for this s**t.)

I though they were seriously flogging a dead horse at the end of LW3, let alone the last film. That being said, the first is a classic. Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock......
