Does anyone know a definate air date? It looks really good and was looking forward to it since I heard Christopher Ecclestion took on the role. It even has a DVD release date of 14th June. So i'm guessing anytiime between now and then.

It's based on his meeting and relationship with Yoko Ono and the later part of his life.

Anyone else looking forward to seeing this? 90mins I believe.

I think it's good that 'nowhere boy' has been released on DVD, i'm going to get it as it tells the story of Lennon's younger years (up until 25-30 i think?) and then 'Lennon naked' portraying the final years.

Fathers day is the third sunday in june so I would think the bbc fathers season coincided with that although i could be totally wrong I usually am

Oh good theory. I think the press pack for it is coming next week so that should give us more info. The DVD is released the 14th June. So I'm guessing it shown a few days prior to that.

I am looking forward to it, I find Lennon's life interesting. I'm not sure if this is solely on his relationship with Yoko Ono or beyond that.

Well it certainly would not have been about his life pre-Yoko. She makes sure anything that is filmed or written about him has her ugly controlling head in it.
He had no life before Yoka the controller, like he wasn't a Beatle he was John Ono Lennon in the Plastic Ono band!

This is airing next week on BBC Four. Why they can't put it on BBC One/Two first I don't know. Looks great. If I like it I may buy the DVD :)

The show-Lennon Naked- is on Wednesday 23-June- 9.30 p.m.
Channel BBC-4! SKY-116! VIRGIN-107! FREEVIEW-107!
It lasts 'til 10.55 p.m..
I hope the music will be the genuine Beatle Recordings?
It will be pointless if they use other singers-I think Paul has the rights to it!
Lets all look forward to some lovely music & wonderful memories--- ;):)

I believe it is packed with Beatles and Lennon songs.

As a Lennon fan I am a bit concerned about it as its based on his interview with Rolling Stone magazine in 1970 when he was, shall we say, worse for wear in the drugs department.

Hopefully it will sort the wheat from the chaff and take into account other interviews he gave, especailly the ones from 1980.

Perhaps he was the best - he seems to have the look of Lennon and being an actor would be able to get the accent.

Naoko Mori (Tosh from Torchwood) is playing Yoko Ono!
