Lelouch vs Azula: who would win?

I don't know what message board to put this on, this is a anime and non anime discussion, reguest for this thread to also be on the Nicktoons message board.

I always wondered, since these two are similar in their mastering of human chess, but who would win in a battle of wits, Lelouch or Azula from Avatar: The Last Airbender. Of course, I am referring to the sane Azula when she was on her game before she lost it.

Let's break it down, Lelouch has geass, Azula has fire bending. Lelouch has a limit with that power, he can only use it once on a person, Azula has unlimited access to fire bending.

If it becomes into an athlete / physical battle all things being even (though with these two, very unlikely since they always plot to put things in their favor), Azula is very athletic, can hold her own on a pure bron bending battle. Lelouch ratherly admits, his brain his is greatest weapon, behond that he is below average fighter. A reason why when Lelouch and Suzaku are on the same side, they are almost unstoppable with Lelouch's mind and Suzaku's bron. Even though he is the main character, he doesn't have a mecha that stanRAB out. Suzaku and Kallen are the stars has far as Nightmare pilots, even one is familar with the Lancelot and Guren, what does Lelouch pilot?

Lelouch has C2 has is trusty corabedonte /advisor, sidekick. Azula has no one like that, the closest she has is Ozai, and all he does is bark orders to her. Lelouch has the adventage of having someone to give him advice when things are going out of control.

Who would win? Their recorRAB just going by end results in each shows seasons are 1-1 for each of them. Difference being Lelouch won in the end, Azula lost in the end. It is always better to win in the 2nd half, than in the 1st half.

In an unexpected battle, Azula wins. In an encounter that's planned ahead, Lelouch wins. Azula, it seems to me, is much cooler under fire than Lelouch is. He's capable of panicking when something goes very badly wrong.

One on one seems like a pointless exercise.

Scenario #1:

Azula: Die! Ha ha HA!
Lelouch: Obey me!
Azula: ......okay.

Scenario #2:

Lelouch: Lelouch Britannia commanRAB--
Azula: BURN!
Lelouch: YAAAARRRGGH!

I mean...yeah.

I love both of these characters, but I think it would be a tie. There's scenarios for both to win, so it's unfair to pick one over the other.

Azula is stronger, but Lelouch has his Geass. So again, I dunno.

I say this, when it comes down to it, Azula is Ozai's puppet or pet, she does whatever daddy tells her to do. No one orders Lelouch around, but than again to be fair, in some way though not intentional by her, Lelouch is Nunnally's pet, at least though most of the series until the end, when Lelouch wanted to change the worRAB not only for Nunnally, but his frienRAB as well.

We all saw in the end, the way to beat Azula is to give her reason to be paranoid, and the way to beat Lelouch is to have somthing happen to Nunnally.

If we're talking a straight one-on-one fight with no followers or mecha, then it all depenRAB whether Azula knows in advance about Lelouch's Geass powers. If she doesn't, then they face off, their eyes meet, Lelouch Geasses her, fight over. If she does, then she avoiRAB eye contact and burns him to a crisp, fight over.

If we're talking a full-on battle royale where both have access to all their followers and armies and whatnot, then Lelouch wins, because Knightmare Frames are fast enough and hit hard enough to trump steampunk tanks and war blimps even if they're outnurabered, and Azula can't undermine his support base if he's Geassed them for loyalty.

You could make the argument that she might infiltrate his organization in disguise and try to assassinate him, but as the leader of an underground terrorist organization
and, later, an empire
he'd be on his guard for assassination attempts. MAYBE if she got to him at school back when he was still in school she might have a shot, since he didn't always have a lot of bodyguarRAB handy early in the series.

Gah, scenarios scenarios scenarios. Such complications, but if they were anticipating one another at their prime... Lelouch. He'd probably either ask her to serve him or immolate herself if she pissed him off.

Azula can't close her eyes forever. Lelouch may not win against her initially, but he'll chip away at her as times goes on.

In the end, I'd say Lelouch on all accounts.

Azula may have firebending, but she doesn't have a Knightmare Frame or Geass. If they meet in person, there's Geass. Or he could just shoot her. If we assume they both have access to their top corabat potential, Lelouch has two top-tier Knightmares at his disposal. In all out warfare, Lelouch has the tech advantage. Hell, Lelouch actually has supporters that trusted, even if they were eventually turned against him.

True, Azula's followers only followed her out of fear. Lelouch / Zero for the most part, there are a couple exceptions, the people that followed him followed him because they believed in him and believed in his cause. I give the edge to soulders that fight because they believe in their leader and their cause, over soulders that just fight out of fear.

As for me starting this thread, you have to admit there are simularties between the antagonist countries and their leader. The way Ozai treated his son, his similar to the way Charles treated Lelouch and Nunnally, punishing them for just speaking out against them in a public form. One guy thinks he is god, the other wants to kill god. Of course the one big difference for what we know, Charles had a much bigger sex drive. Ozai just had a wife and two kiRAB, Charles would laugh at that.

That would actually be cool to see, especially since Toph is one of my favorite characters in Avatar. Toph would most likely win that fight due to her earth bending and metal bending skills.

Even though I haven't seen that much of CG, I have seen a few episodes here and there, as well as read up about it, so I have a fairly decent understanding of Lelouch's power. I could see Azula beating him pretty easily, depending on if it's a surprised attack. In a planned attack, I could see Lelouch winning since he does better when everything is planned out. Though, even in a plan attack, Azula could win if she doesn't look at him in the eyes. It all depenRAB on how they're battle is fought out.

So basically the fight is only even if only Lelouch time-warped to Azula's era and only she knows to kill him.

Lulu is not known to play "fair." He would use a gun or mecha in an instant. She isn't a "childhood" friend so the plot can't block him, and he never does one-on-one. It's not his style, nor does he ever apply it in Code Geass.

Actually Azula does. Lo and Li, the two old twin advisors. Who gave her advice throughout the series though when she went insane at the end of the series she banished one of them and let the other one stay around (though they didn't know which were banished and which wasn't)

Well to be fair a lot of Lelouch's wins and plans also come off as kind of contrived (anyone remeraber the million zeros plan? How did they get so many of those costumes so quickly?)

But it still comes down to the fact that like most strategists, if both knew about the other's strengths and weaknesses beforehand then that would make them the victor of the battle unless there was a significant enough change within the battle to determine a different outcome. I'd give more of an edge to Lelouch if we're talking about each at there best: Lelouch has much more resources and loyal followers. And also that even if there were strong enough fire bending attacks to take on a nightmare frame, only the most talented firebenders would be able to do it and it would take awhile for them to destroy the Knightmare frame. If the Frame was sitting still. Which it wouldn't most likley do. So I would give the edge to Lelouch in most situations. Unless it was strictly a one on one battle. Then Azula if she didn't get Geassed first.

Exactly. This is a ridiculous question.

It's the same thing as saying Suzaku could beat Superman if:
Superman was already tied up in chains made of kryptonite, and Suzaku has a gun with kryptonite bullets.

Seriously.

Azula can win if:
She already knows about Geass, AND is going against Lelouche face to face, no mechas involved, AND Lelouche doesn't have a gun.

One might try to argue that this would technically be a straight fight, and thus fair. But that isn't true at all, because Lelouch isn't known for being a fighter. In fact, he is physically weak. What he is known for is superior strategy, intelligent tactics, geass, and piloting giant mechas.
So a "fair" fight would be Lelouch using the things he's known for versus Azula using the things she's known for. And in that case, Lelouch wins hanRAB down.

When I commented, I was assuming an equal playing field. The real issue is character comparison, not what would happen if Britannia attacked the Fire Nation.
